I am looking for about a 2-carat center princess cut diamond ring with a small band with diamonds all the way around, good quality. Can anyone give me an idea of how much this will be? I’ve tried looking on the net, but don’t have much luck finding any price range! Thanks!
You can design your ideal ring at www.bluenile.com
It’s a wonderful website that gives you all kinds of price ranges and options based on what you want and where to find the ring of your dreams.
Maybe something like this…

Best Wishes for a happy marriage!!
I am having a setting designed for a cushion cut diamond which is slightly rectangular (1 edge longer than the other)
When viewed from the top, what do you think the best orientation is? The long edge parallel to the shank of the ring or perpendicular to it?
If the ring is a solitaire, then I would say the long side parallel to the fingerlength, that would be a classic. The opposite is striking, unexpected, new. The first case makes your finger look thinner and longer usually.
In case it is set with other diamonds or gems, we need to see the ring of course.
In any case, enjoy your gems !
I bought this ring on ebay and Im just wanting to know if its worth the 615.00 I paid for it. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&item=280368669608
If you copy and paste the address above you can go look at it.
no I wouldn’t buy it

Your Question
Idea of cost of diamond engagement ring?
I am looking for about a 2-carat center princess cut diamond ring with a small band with diamonds all the way around, good quality. Can anyone give me an idea of how much this will be? I’ve tried looking on the net, but don’t have much luck finding any price range! Thanks!
2 carat diamond engagement ring cost you around $8000
I’m talking about from scratch. Totally original. From a drawing I make to a beautifully finished diamond ring. I have looked around and most sites claim that I can customize my ring by choosing the shape of diamond and then mounting it on one of thier available rings, but that is not what i want. My perfect ring doesn’t exist! There has got to be somebody out there who can do this for me.
Any good local jeweler can usually do that for you. If not ask them to refer you. If you are not in at least a medium sized town drive to one and go from there. Let your fingers do the walking on this one and use mapquest if necessary. When I was engaged 2 years ago we designed our own and used a local jeweler. (Make sure you are sure about the relationship though. You can’t return a custom piece!)
How would you compare the princess cut to other cuts?
isn’t that the square cut? Really the cut should be determinded by what your girl likes. (I’m assuming you’re a guy shopping for your fiance?) So ask her what shape stone she likes. Myself, I only like round or square.
